Meet Our Director of Aviation

Like many others, Lyndon received the "aviation itch" at a very young age. As a child, he would stare out the window pointing at the airplanes passing by in awe and dared to one day be in command.

His career in aviation started at age 19 after immigrating to U.S. from Linden, Guyana. He attended Florida Institute of Technology where he excelled and gathered many achievements including a Masters in Applied Aviation Safety. He is now an Airline and ATP-rated Pilot with extensive hours instructing in multi-engine and single-engine aircrafts.

As Director of Aviation, Lyndon promises to use his vast training and knowledge to provide safe and effective instruction in a positive learning environment under his motto "Safety is Priority."

Financing for Aviation Training

Affordable financing options are available for aviation training through many sources, with one of the most popular and well-established being AOPA Aviation Finance Company.

  • Private Pilot's License for as little as $100-200 a month for 84 months*
  • Instrument Rating for as little as $120 a month for 84 months*
  • Multi Rating for as little as $50 a month for 84 months*

Pilot Financing offers loans up to $12,500 at interest rates similar to or better than most credit cards. When you sign up with Pilot Finance you agree to the terms and conditions of this loan specific to the number of flights and flight times and hours per week. You cannot accelerate beyond this agreement. This is an excellent option for students looking to finance their private or instrument training; however, it will not cover the cost of the full professional pilot program.

* The above assumes a credit score of 740. Additional restrictions and higher rates apply for individuals with credit scores below. Terms are based on the following loan amounts; $6,000-12,000 PPL, $7,000 instrument rating and $3,000 multi rating. Flight training costs vary by location, aircraft and other factors. The above monthly payments carry an interest rate of 10.49% Annual Percentage Rate (APR). Credit approval and actual interest rates are dependent upon the credit history, income, loan terms and obligations of the applicant and co-borrower.

Scholarship Information

Scholarships are available to those students that reach out and apply. There are numerous scholarship opportunities for local students from organizations such as OBAP, Red Tail scholarship fund, the women’s pilot group 99s, many more. Typically, they require a student to already hold a private pilot certificate. Then they will fund additional training.

Visit the FAA website for information about aviation grants and scholarships.

Faithful Guardian Training Center Aviation offers to pay as you go programs and payment plans that bring your dreams closer to reality.

*Note: Most of these financial aid options require the student to be a U.S. resident or citizen.

Enrollment Requirements

  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language. (If the applicant is unable to meet one of these requirements due to medical reasons, then the Administrator may place such operating limitations on that applicant’s pilot certificate as are necessary for the safe operation of the aircraft. 18 years old by the end of course completion)
  • Be able to obtain a Private Pilot - 3rd Class Medical Certification, which acts as your U.S. Student Pilot Certificate

"Incredible!! I always wanted to learn to fly and today just sealed the deal. The experience of actually flying the plane coupled with the best instructor (Lyndon) made this a dream come true. I’ve been bitten by the 'aero-bug' and Faithful Guardian definitely hasn’t seen the last of me!! Sent the photos to all my buddies who wanted to check this off their bucket list! Great job guys!"
