Greetings Paramedic Course Participants,
Welcome to the NREMT-recognized Paramedic course hosted by Faithful Guardian Training Center. The staff of FGTC works hard to ensure your experience in the class is both informative and enjoyable. If you need anything during the class, please do not hesitate to ask any of our instructors. Now let’s sit back and relax and learn how to save lives!
The Faithful Guardian Paramedic program is part of the West Georgia Regional Emergency Education Coalition and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
Similar to many such experiences, the amount of energy expended by you towards the program will have a positive correlation with the benefits you reap. Our training center enjoys the reputation of graduating motivated, high-quality, employable candidates. We are pleased that you have chosen to attend our training center and expect you to carry on our tradition of excellence.
This course is designed to train you in the lifesaving skills of an NREMT Paramedic. The course covers a lot of material in a relatively short period of time, so we will move through the information fairly quickly at times. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
During this class, you will view power points, listen to instructor lectures, and view examples of Advanced EMS skills and treatment, and perform the practical skills yourself. Our learning strategies are designed to teach you these skills are effective as possible and in the shortest amount of time.
When you successfully pass this program, it will qualify you to sit in on the National Registry Examination for Paramedic. While we will have lots of fun over the coming year, we strongly encourage you to take this course very seriously and to prepare for your National Registry Examination starting TODAY.

Accreditation Myths vs. Facts
- Myth... Paramedic Class is a 2-year degree program now.
- Fact... Paramedic Class is NOT a mandatory 2-year degree program. While many schools are building the two-year degree program for Paramedic Technology, it is not a state or federal requirement. At FGTC we teach the Paramedic Certificate course over 15 months.
- Myth... Accreditation requirements have stopped independent schools from teaching paramedic courses.
- Fact... Since the 2013 accreditation changes went into effect several independent schools in Georgia have been approved by Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP) to continue teaching paramedic courses. FGTC has taught Paramedic Courses for 8 years and continue to be recognized as a Paramedic training facility.
- Myth... FGTC only offers one (1) Paramedic course a year.
- Fact...
We currently have multiple Paramedic courses running at all times.
